Light & Color

I specialize in relaxed, unstudied yet professional portraits taken in natural light. My clients include artists, authors and musicians, children, families, and professionals. Whether you want a photograph of your one-year-old, a senior graduation portrait, or you want a headshot to update your resume, my goal is to bring out your true spirit.

Although it's referred to as "commercial photography", it's really one of my passions -- taking images of your art, your handcrafted items, your carefully selected inventory for your boutique so you can present them to your customers at their best and most enticing.

Bio

Spontaneity and instinct is what keeps Ann going, in her professional and personal life. Ann purchased her first 35mm camera with her high-school graduation gift money. Finding her way through travel in Europe and Asia and then running off to Hong Kong to join her boyfriend (and now husband of 25 years), Ann realized an affinity for the unexpected, the overlooked, and the ability to find the tiniest bit of beauty in the most unlikely places; seeing the world through her camera. Midwestern born and raised on the East Coast near New York City, Ann embodies the core values of honesty and reliability with a certain edge of realism and desire for the beauty within. Armed with an outgoing personality, Ann manages to engage people from all walks of life - from the homeless to worldly business executives, and even the occasional celebrity or two - wherever she goes; Ann draws on those encounters in her work with her camera. Ann truly feels that everyone has something unique to offer in this life on earth, and she has made it her job to draw out this sense of spirit and liveliness and document it in the form of a photograph (besides, she can't draw anyway).

Rates

Standard Portrait session: $175 for two hours
Additional time billed at: $75 per hour
Maximum 8 hours per day.
Eight-hour daily rate: $500

My travel time to & from your location is included.

All post-production is included in this fee - downloading, editing, retouching, and gallery creating.

Print costs are:

Up to 5x7: $20 for the first print, $15 for additional prints
8x10 or 8x8: $35 / $25
11x14 or 11x11: $60 / $45
16x20 or 16x16: $125 / $100
Wallets: $30 for a sheet of 12

Metallic prints are available for an additional charge.

Foamcore mounting is available for an additional $15 per image.

Gallery wrapping is available.
